STUDIO
Fraktal is a computational, research-based multidisciplinary studio. We design responsive systems where algorithmic rigor meets architectural craft.
Founded by Kemal Arda Alkin in 2018.
“A rhizome has no beginning or end; it is always in the middle, between things, interbeing, intermezzo.”
Form Follows Code
We approach architecture as a computational challenge, a complex system of constraints to be optimized through simulation, genetic algorithms, and custom scripts that encode design intent into responsive systems.
Cross-Scale Thinking
From furniture joints to urban master plans, we operate across scales. This allows us to propagate design logic from material assembly to city infrastructure, maintaining coherence at every level.
BACKGROUND
With a foundation in architecture and a deep immersion in computational tools: from Grasshopper and Rhino to custom Python pipelines and machine learning frameworks, we've cultivated a practice where design and code are inseparable.
Fraktal synthesizes these experiences: the precision of parametric modeling, the spatial intuition of architecture, and the generative power of code.
Disciplines
Each discipline informs the others. We see these not as separate services, but as interconnected nodes in a larger system of design intelligence.
