Fraktal Design Studio ("we", "us", or "our") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal data. This privacy policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard information when you visit our website at fraktal.design.

2. Information We Collect

We collect minimal data necessary for website functionality:

• Analytics: Google Analytics loads only if you accept analytics. It processes usage information such as page views and device information.
• Academy inquiries: Workshop, course waitlist and mentorship forms ask for your name, email and request details. Mentorship requests may include your availability. If a form opens an email draft, you decide whether to send it in your email app; opening the draft does not submit it to Fraktal.
• Site preferences: Your theme and analytics choice are stored in this browser using local storage.

3. How We Use Your Information

Your information is used exclusively for:

• Responding to inquiries received by email or through Academy forms
• Analyzing website usage patterns to improve user experience
• Maintaining your theme preferences across sessions

4. Data Sharing

When analytics is accepted, Google processes usage data under its own terms. Inquiries sent to us pass through our hosting and email providers. If server-side form delivery is enabled, notification emails are processed by Postmark. The Contact page loads Google Maps only when you choose Load Google Maps. Google then receives your IP address and may use cookies under its own privacy policy. The map choice is separate from analytics consent; closing the map removes the embed. External booking, WhatsApp and product links use the policies of those services.

5. Browser Storage and Cookies

You can reopen Cookie Preferences in the footer to change your analytics choice:

• fraktal-theme: Local storage for your dark/light theme preference.
• fraktal-cookie-consent: Local storage for your analytics choice.
• Google Analytics may set cookies such as _ga after you accept analytics. Rejecting analytics disables subsequent measurement by this site.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction or deletion of your data
• Opt out of analytics using Cookie Preferences in the footer
• Withdraw consent at any time

7. Data Retention

When server-side contact delivery is enabled, open inquiries remain in the contact database until they are handled. Retention of closed inquiries and requests for deletion are reviewed by an authorized operator. Automated deletion is currently disabled. Older database backups are moved to an archive for operator review rather than automatically deleted. Email inboxes and delivery providers have separate retention settings. We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data, including SSL/TLS encryption, secure server infrastructure, and access controls.
