Three events on our autumn watchlist

AU, ACADIA and SIGGRAPH Asia raise different questions about office tools, computation and visual workflows.

Our autumn reading spans three events, each with a different architectural question. Autodesk University has concluded; ACADIA and SIGGRAPH Asia are still ahead. We rechecked the dates against the organizers’ pages on 11 October 2026. This editorial selection does not announce Fraktal’s attendance.

AU: what can a small office adopt?

Autodesk University took place in Las Vegas on 15–17 September 2026. The organizer now offers on-demand sessions through its digital pass. The AU for Small Business learning path gives us a focused starting point for office workflows. Before adopting a demonstrated task, we want to understand its inputs, setup and review requirements.

ACADIA: what does computation help us make?

ACADIA 2026, Humanism Recoded, takes place in Detroit. Workshops are scheduled for 19–21 October and the conference for 22–24 October. Its focus on embodiment, culture and making invites us to read a technique through its material and social setting, as well as its geometry.

SIGGRAPH Asia: what stays editable?

SIGGRAPH Asia is in Kuala Lumpur: the conference runs on 1–4 December and the exhibition on 2–4 December. Our question is how a visual proposal can remain inspectable as its camera, scene or objects change. We will look for documented methods behind the finished images.

Bring one question back

For each event, we would select one paper or session, record the task and available evidence, then design a small office trial. A demonstration becomes useful when we can name what to reproduce and what to check. Consult the organizer links for current schedules and access details.
