Frequently Asked Questions

Which iPhones are supported?

SpaceCraft requires an iPhone 12 Pro or later with a LiDAR sensor. This includes iPhone 12 Pro/Max, 13 Pro/Max, 14 Pro/Max, 15 Pro/Max, and 16 Pro/Max, plus iPad Pro models from 2020.

How accurate are the scans?

SpaceCraft uses Apple's RoomPlan and LiDAR stack to create scaled room captures. Accuracy depends on device, lighting, surface quality, and scan technique, so verify critical dimensions before construction or fabrication.

What file formats can I export?

SpaceCraft v1 focuses on USDZ room models and PDF floor plans. OBJ mesh and PLY point-cloud exports are available when the scan pipeline has captured those data types.

Does it work offline?

Yes. All scanning and processing happens on-device using the iPhone's neural engine. No internet connection is required, no cloud upload, no account.

How long does a typical scan take?

A standard room (20-30m²) is captured in minutes. Larger spaces or whole apartments take longer; LiDAR works best when you walk slowly and keep 1-2m distance from walls.
